Seeing what makes us Overcome
You overcome through that which works in you, not by what you can achieve outside. We rule and reign in Christ. In ourselves we are ruled over, but in Christ we reign as kings in this life. God the Father desires to reign in this earth through us. We are not designed to be ruled over by this world’s kingdom.

1 John 4:4
4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

What makes a person an overcomer is not their ability to overcome, but whether or not what they have working in their life is greater than that which is coming against them. We must see what makes us overcome. Is the Greater one that is in you greater than the circumstance? We say yes, and He is, but is He greater in our sight than what is against us? What strengthens us to overcome is our faith in that which makes us overcomers. Faith exalts what is believed as the greatest reality. We are called to live and conduct our lives by the leading of what we truly believe.

2 Corinthians 5:7
7(For we walk by faith, not by sight :)

A believer is not led by what is seen. What directs their path is not that which is subject to change.

2 Corinthians 4:18
18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Verse 17 speaks on the afflictions that come against us is but for a moment. We should never allow them to distract us from what we should be looking at and exalting. We are called to not look at the things that are seen, but we are to have eyes of faith that exalt what is not seen, the eternal things. We must see with the eyes of our faith what makes us overcomers. We overcome through the exaltation of the Greater One that is working in us mightily, and that Truth is eternal.
