The Fruit of His Design

God and His Kingdom never slumbers nor sleeps. His working is constantly operating in the fulfilment of His purposes. This very working is what made you born again when you entered the operation of that Kingdom by faith. When Jesus said abide in Him He was saying, abide in that which made me the Christ. For the nature or working in the Vine must work in and through the branch to produce the fruit of His design. The fruit of His design is exactly that, it is His design, and we don’t understand all that it is, but we know it is as He is. Remember in Galatians 5 and in 1 John it says, “If we walk in the Spirit we will not fulfill the lust of the flesh, and he that abides in Him sins not.” We must understand we put to death the deeds of the body through the power of what Jesus as the Christ was anointed with. It was the working of the Holy Ghost that made Him the Christ. Jesus told us that I’m going to send another comforter to you, and you will know Him because He will abide in you. He will remain in you. That’s why He says you will know Him because He will be in you. Jesus said, “I am the Vine and you are the branches.” Just as a branch comes forth from the vine so are we with the True Vine. A pear tree bears pears. An apple tree bears apples, so when Jesus said, “abide in Me and you will bear much fruit,” then we know that the fruit that comes forth as a result of us abiding in the True Vine will be that which made Him what He is. This is the product of the Holy Ghost and power. So He that abides in Him does not sin is talking about abiding in the working of the Holy Ghost and power to the point that we are led by that working and no other. After all that’s how you put to death the deeds of the body. So that also ties in with walking in the Spirit or being led by the Spirit. If you are led by the Spirit you will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh. He that abides in Him will not sin. The body of sin is destroyed by walking in the Spirit or being led by the Spirit. This is the new nature we have received when we became born of God. Our old self was nailed to the cross with Him.

Romans 6:6-7
6Knowing this, that our old [unrenewed] man is crucified [Amp-nailed to the cross] with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, [and rendered completely powerless] that henceforth we should not serve sin. [we should no longer be a slave or in bondage to sin] 7For he that is dead is freed [loosed, delivered] from [the power of] sin.

We are to live by the power of the Holy Ghost. We are delivered from the power behind sin by walking by the control of the power behind our righteousness. We are the righteousness of God “IN CHRIST.” We are no longer a slave to sin because we are set free by the same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead, to bear the fruit of His design.
